STLV Rewind Part 7

We finish up are look back at STLV 2016 with this Supersized episode. Enjoy!

Ten Forward Episode 201 – STLV 50 Day 5

“So I finally finished my homework and edited the recording for Robert Reyes’ Day 5 recording.  A couple of notes:

1.  Many, many apologies to the people whose interviews had to be cut out of the final edit.  There were severe technical difficulties and some of the recording just was not usable.  If you were one of those who did not make it into the show, please contact me (@queenkatblue) so we can have you on the show to talk Trek.

2.  In order for some of the interviews toward the end to make sense, I had to leave some glitches and static in the recording.  Apologies, and hope these issues don’t distract from the fantastic interviews.

3.  Speaking of fantastic interviews, Robert was able to speak with one or two celebrities, including a Trek actor.”

STLV Rewind Part 6

The tradition of the recording people at The Masquerade Bar in various states of “beverage consumption” began in 2016, and would continue in all my STLV Coverage. So enjoy this look at the Masquerade Bar on a Saturday Night/Sunday Morning at STLV 2016.

Ten Forward Episode #201 – STLV Day 4 After Party

“Roving correspondent Robert Reyes stays up reeeeeeeaaaaallllyyyy late to give us a taste of the Saturday night after party at STLV50.  Special guest appearances by the Doctor of Love, James Roberts (Yay James!) and Ben McCulloch (I love Ben!), as well as many other fascinating STLV attendees.”

STLV Rewind Part 2

In 2016, Star Trek was celebrating it’s 50th Anniversary. And in true Vegas fashion, STLV50 as it will be forever known, was a convention that we may not see the likes of ever again. It marked the only time in the history of STLV that the convention ever sold out. The Rio was sold out, The Gold Coast was sold out, and the overflow went to The Palms. Day 1 of the convention would see long lines due to security checks, scalpers, yes ticket scalpers at STLV, and this would be the first year that STLV expanded to the 5 day event we know today.

Here is our first episode recapping #STLV50: Ten Forward Podcast #201 – STLV Part 1

“This week we bring you special correspondent Robert Reyes at the Star Trek 50th Anniversary convention in Las Vegas!  A great big thanks to Robert for giving those of us who aren’t at the convention a look at the excitement of the 50th anniversary party.”

The STLV Rewind Part 1

Hello everyone! I know that at round this time many of us would be getting ready for STLV with last minute cosplay prep, packing, picking the right liquor for the room party to make Star Trek themed cocktails. But right now we are not living in normal times. We are living through a period in American History that our children and grandchildren will have to watch documentaries about in history class like I had to watch documentaries about The Great Depression and The Dust Bowl in history class. So instead of going to Las Vegas this summer, I will bring Las Vegas to you. For the next few weeks I will be posting all of my STLV episodes so we can remember the good times we had in the before times while trying to get a James Tea Kirk or a Warp Core Breach at The Masquerade Bar, or The iBar, or Shutters.

So here is our first STLV Episode: Ten Forward Podcast #161 – Robert does Vegas.

“This week, Robert “I like Sub Rosa” Reyes joins Sina at the bar to talk about his Star Trek Las Vegas experience. Two words:  Wonder Woman.  You’ll know what I mean soon enough.”

Episode 30: The New Captain of The Star Trek Enterprise

Today we take a look back at the lead up to the premiere of Star Trek Voyager. By using period interviews and specials to give you an idea how UPN and Paramount promoted the show ahead of its debut in January of 1995.
