Episode 31: The Return of The Red Sweater

Hello, it’s me Robert Reyes. I have returned after taking several months off. In this episode of the podcast I go into why I took a break. I go on a rant about the current state of Star Trek. I was not singling out anyone podcast or Youtube Channel, I was speaking in generalities and if I have offended anyone, I apologize. That was not my intent. After I calm down, I go into STLV news and Destination Star Trek News. And finally, our good friend Andy Fark is doing a 24 Hour Live Stream for charity on Saturday, December 5. The link is below.

STLV Rewind Part 13

STLV 2017

We’ve come to the end of our STLV 2017 coverage.

Promenade Podcast Episode 6: STLV lives on in our imagination

“Here we are at the end of out STLV 2017 Coverage.  First a bit of a warning, the following episode is NSFW due to very strong language that is used in the second half of this episode.  So to set the stage:  STLV has officially ended and people are hanging out at The Masquerade Bar for one last time before they have to leave.  I interviewed some people about their convention experience and any highlights that stood out to them.  And then we take The Imagination Tour 2.0: The Next Generation.  We relive STLV one last time.  STLV lives on in our imaginations.”

STLV Rewind part 12

STLV 2017

We’ve come to Sunday at STLV 2017. Enjoy.

Promenade Podcast Episode 5: STLV Day 5 – WE MADE IT!

“We made it to Day 5 of STLV 2017. Sunday was Star Trek Mash Up Cosplay day, doing a cosplay that combined Star Trek with a non Star Trek character. It was also Mirror Universe day at STLV. We talked to people who were cosplaying for Star Trek Mash Up or Mirror Universe. We also talked to David and his dog Gandalf; Sarah Hope about Karl Urban; John Champion about what they found in the Roddenberry Storage Space; Brooke Wilkens about Star Trek and Shakespeare; My shock at a surprise cosplay that no one saw coming; I had no filter and was easily distracted; William McCcauley about why he comes to STLV every year; and a few more surprises.”

STLV Rewind Part 6

The tradition of the recording people at The Masquerade Bar in various states of “beverage consumption” began in 2016, and would continue in all my STLV Coverage. So enjoy this look at the Masquerade Bar on a Saturday Night/Sunday Morning at STLV 2016.

Journey Planet 42 – Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations

Our good friend of the show, Sarah Gulde guest edited this issue of Journey Planet, a Hugo Award-winning online fanzine. To Quote Sarah:

The whole issue is about the diversity and community of Star Trek – Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations! It features articles by several STLV regulars, Jesse M Oquendo, Grace Moore, Marina Kravchuk, Sue Kisenwether, Lou Kinter Taurog, Eric Profancik, and Jamala N. Henderson, and with many photos from STLV. They shared some really thoughtful and personal insights into Star Trek and how it impacted their lives. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed editing it!
